About Me

Hi, my name is Bradley Friemel. I started in the tech industry in 2009, graduated from A&M Corpus Christi in 2010 with a computer science degree, and currently residing in Austin, Texas. I started my career as a back end developer that developed web services made the transition to developing in web technologies. From coding node to the new hotness of front end JS frameworks, I've really been enjoying focusing on JS technologies. Outside of work, I like to travel, read about new technologies and design principals, and staying active.

Professional Projects

Social Engagments - Inmar

Description:
This project allowed a implementor to put an iframe on web or web portal on mobile with a specific url with a JWT token in it to generate different engagements like FB like, twitter tweet, etc.
Technology:
Node
My contrubution:
I lead this project from inception. I did most of the research, block diagrams, life cycle diagrams, and coding. I worked with iOS and android developers to verify that the solution would be valid, thus eliminating multiple code bases and rolling them into the web. I architected this project in such a way that would allow other developers to drop new engagements in the system ,while sticking to the code style, the engagement would automatically be picked up by the system and the system would return the correct engagement.

Hopster - Inmar

Description:
This project is a print at home coupon web site. It contains all aspects around allowing companies to put coupons online for user to print. It has the hopster web front, also allows the company to embed hopster into their site for print at home coupons.
Technology:
Ruby
My contrubution:
I was pulled onto this project after Inmar acquired it. I worked with a designer to hash out new designs while implementing them and making functional improvements. This workflow allowed us to get the redesign to market in two months.

Coupon Internationalization - Inmar

Description:
This project is a print at home coupon portal that has internationalization built in from the ground up. It integrated with an api to retrieve all of the coupon data that was applicable and allowed for anonymous printing of coupons.
Technology:
Angular
My contrubution:
I was the lead UI engineer on this project. I did the research around internationalization and which front-end technology would fit the solution. I settled on angular because it has some great packages that would help solve the main hurdle of internationalization. I created a UI project that was easily skinnable so that we could treat this project like a SDK and allow companies to quickly skin a site and deploy it.

Login Hub - Mozu - Volusion

Description:
This project allowed a user to select the different aspects of Mozu and control access to what they could access.
Technology:
Extjs
My contrubution:
I helped improve the access control system and styling around the program.

Developer Center - Mozu - Volusion

Description:
This project allowed a user to develop applications and themes that integrated with Mozu stores.
Technology:
Extjs, C#
My contrubution:
I implemented various views from front-end to back-end. I made different functional improvements and solved bugs. I helped QA engineers test the system and worked with designers to make visual improvements. I also did the styling of this application.

Family Management - Djed

Description:
This is a project that would have allowed a family to manage all aspects of family life. It had many different features like: activity feed, photo gallery, callendar, etc.
Technology:
Ember JS
My contrubution:
I was the lead UI engineer on this project. I would take early designs from the designer and crank through one view a week. Once I had CRUD and the designs more hashed out with the designer, I would hand the view off for a junior developer to finish off while I moved on to the next one. It was a fast pace work environment that allowed me to help foster growth in junior UI devs.

Financial Management - NextGen

Description:
This project allowed hospitals to manage their finances. It mainly focused on a billing system.
Technology:
Angular, Extjs
My contrubution:
I was the Lead UI Engineer on this project. I worked with project managers, designers, subject matter experts, and back-end developers to engineer a solution that would solve the billing issue that small to medium size hospitals have. I built a few grid based solutions to help organize the data and worked the back-end engineers to come up with data contracts.

Surgical Management - NextGen

Description:
This project allowed hospitals to manage their surgical management. This was a project that would allow users to create a schedule and view them. They could also write medical notes in the system.
Technology:
Angular, Extjs
My contrubution:
I worked with designers and subject matter experts to come up with designs that would fit the goal that we were trying to accomplish. I would then implement the front-end and style it.

QSR Online - QSR

Description:
This project allowed restaurants to manage every facet of their system. Some of the key features were employee management, inventory management, reports, and accounting.
Technology:
C#
My contrubution:
